Every stop on the journey
Jesus's public ministry took him from Galilee to Jerusalem, touching countless communities along the way. His journeys encompassed teaching, healing, and ultimately the final week in Jerusalem that changed history.

Jesus grew up in Nazareth of Galilee and lived there until the beginning of his ministry. He returned to read from Isaiah in the synagogue but was rejected by his hometown.

Jesus was baptized by John in the Jordan River. The Spirit of God descended like a dove and a voice from heaven said, 'This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.'
Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness and fasted forty days. The devil tempted him three times. Jesus responded each time with Scripture.

John testified about Jesus here. Andrew and Simon Peter, Philip and Nathanael became the first disciples.

At a wedding in Cana of Galilee, Jesus turned water into wine. This was the first of his signs, and his disciples believed in him.

Jesus made Capernaum his home base for Galilean ministry. He called fishermen as disciples, healed many, and taught regularly in the synagogue there.

Jesus calmed a storm on the Sea of Galilee and later walked on water to the disciples' boat. The sea was central to his Galilean ministry.
Jesus sat on a hillside overlooking the Sea of Galilee and delivered the Sermon on the Mount - the ethical charter of the Kingdom of God.
On the eastern shore of the Sea of Galilee, Jesus cast a legion of demons out of a man and into a herd of pigs. The healed man became a missionary in the Decapolis.

At the foot of Mount Hermon, Jesus asked 'Who do you say I am?' Peter answered: 'You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.' Jesus gave Peter the keys of the kingdom.

Jesus was transfigured before Peter, James, and John. His face shone like the sun; Moses and Elijah appeared and spoke with him. A cloud overshadowed them and the Father spoke.

At Jacob's Well in Sychar, Jesus spoke to a Samaritan woman and revealed himself as the living water and the Messiah. Many Samaritans believed because of her testimony.

Four days after his death, Jesus raised Lazarus from the tomb in Bethany. 'I am the resurrection and the life.' This miracle led the Sanhedrin to resolve to kill Jesus.

Jesus called to Zacchaeus in the sycamore tree and said he must stay at his house. Zacchaeus repented and promised to give half his goods to the poor. 'Today salvation has come to this house.'

Jesus entered Jerusalem on a donkey to the crowd's praise. He cleansed the temple, taught in its courts, was betrayed, tried, crucified, buried, and on the third day rose from the dead.
