In Jesus' genealogy (Mat 1:14) Achim or Jachin (i.e. "he will establish"), contracted from Jehoiachin. The name may express the parents' faith that God would in His own time establish Messiah's throne, as Isa 9:7 foretold.

ACHIPHA (B 'Axu^i, A 'Axt<pd, AV Acipha), 1 Es 5". — His children were among the 'temple servants' or Nethinim who returned with Zerub- babel. Called Hakupha, Ezr 2»i, Neh 1'^.
