Ahiam (Hastings' Dictionary)
One of David's heroes. He was son of Sharar (2 S 23"^), or Sacar (1 Ch 11"), the Hararite. G. B. Gray. AHIAN (i.-iiK 'fraternal,' B 'laael^, A 'Atlr; these forms, together with the divergent text of the Syr., render the exact form of the original name uncertain). — Ahian was a Manassite, and is described as 'son of Shemida' (1 Ch 7"'); but the name is scarcely that of an individual ; note in the context Abiezer and Shechem, and cf. Nu 26"*. G. B. Gray.
