AMIABLE (=lovely, and now used only of per- sons) is applied to God's dwelling-place in I's 84' ' How a. are Thy tabernacles, O Lord of hosts '(RVm ' lovely ' ; as at "rh 4' Rheims Bible has ' whatsoever amiable,' AV ' whatsoever things are lovely ').
