- An elder brother of David, 1 Ch 2% (“Acou). The vocalization of MT is of doubtful correctness. Kittel thinks osx (cf. LXX) more probable than oss. Cf. the parallel case of Oren (wh. see) and Aran. 2 Ason of Jerahmeel, 1 Ch 2% (B’Acdy, Α ᾿Ασόμ).

Ozem o'-zem ('otsem, meaning unknown): ⇒See a list of verses on OZEM in the Bible. (1) The 6th son of David (1Ch 2:15). Septuagint (Asom) and Vulgate (Jerome's Latin Bible, 390-405 A.D.) suggest that the name should be pointed 'atsom.
