Shilonite (Hastings' Dictionary)
Gentilic name from Shiloh (which see ad init. p. 449-''). It is applied in the UT to 1. AlllJAH (see vol. i. p. 56'). 2. A Judaliite family, settled at Jerusalem after the Exile, Neh IP (Av wrongly Shiloni), 1 Ch 9°. In these last two passages we should prob. read 'iha Slulanite (cf. Nu 20-°), i.e. descendant of Shelah, one of the sons of Judah.
