The disciples' words differ revealingly: in Matthew they say "Lord, save us, we are perishing" (faithful but fearful); in Mark they say "Teacher, don't you care that we are perishing?" (almost accusatory); in Luke simply "Master, Master, we are perishing." Jesus's rebuke also differs in sequence across the accounts.
