Mark alone says Jesus was "indignant" with the disciples for turning children away, one of only a few places where Jesus is explicitly described as angry at his own followers. Mark also says Jesus took the children "in his arms," a physical detail absent from Matthew and Luke. Luke uses the word for "infants" (brephe) rather than "children."
Jesus lays hands on the children and departs.
Jesus is indignant, takes children in his arms, and blesses them, laying hands on them.
